SMARTCON® Secure Internet Payments (SSIP)

Insert an EMV-enabled microSD device in your smartphone and be ready for secure online payments. Use EMV field proven technology to secure online payments.

Main features:

  • Highly secure: the keys are stored inside the secure element and never leave this environment. The chip can also be used to sign additional transaction data such as the amount. The transaction is an EMV transaction.
  • Convenient: rather than carrying cards and readers, the user uses hers/his smartphone to protect the transaction. If the phone has 3G or wireless access, no need to type codes.
  • Fits your requirement: have three different modes – Identify and Login used for strong authentication and Buy used for secure transactions.
  • Simple, Intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI): the interface guides the user through easy steps

Very simple operation:

  1. Select SSOTP application on the phone
  2. Select application mode Buy
  3. Enter PIN
  4. Read 2D barcode on the PC with the phone
  5. Enter transaction value
  6. Transfer the code back to PC typying it or just clicking “Send”
  7. Done!

Technical details:

  • Supported EMV applications: MasterCard Chip Authentication Program (CAP), Visa Dynamic Password Authentication (DPA) and SMARTCON® OTP (SOTP).
  • Supported phone OSs: Android™ 1.6+, covering hundreds of models. Other platforms will be supported soon!
  • Supported microSD operating systems: MULTOS™ and JavaCard™ with Global Platform 2.1+.
